So, that's right... Baby Kleemann is due to arrive in between late April and early May!
Which means I am 8 weeks and 5 days but I really hate due dates since they tend to be wrong for me. Needless to say we are very excited and feeling immensely blessed to be able to welcome another sweet child into our family! We got lots of love around here, so this baby won't be lacking.
So there it is, my good reason why I have been feeling terrible. I actually have been diagnosed with Hyperemesis Gravidarum, which is fancy lingo for literally puking my guts up daily for no really reason or cause. I was NEVER this sick before with any of my pregnancies. So far I have been on 3 different kinds of medicine and I have lost give or take 10 lbs, which now makes me underweight. So needless to say, please please keep the prayers coming. I do not want to end up in the hospital again and I need to keep at least one meal down a day and all my liquids down for that to not happen.
Thank you again for all your love and support. Again we are thrilled, as well as our kids! Now that I have better medication, I am feeling better and will be in this place more often. Also our baby is the size of a raspberry right now and has a very strong heart beat. God is pretty awesome.
For Now,
Nicole
Congratulations!!! My mother had the same problem while pregnant with me. She said the only things she had a chance of keeping down were rich salty and sweet foods....

Congratulations!
ReplyDeleteYes, as Maria said, I had the same condition with all three of my pregnancies. After losing weight early on I decided to try to NEVER let my stomach be empty. That sounds all wrong but it helped a LOT. For some reason an empty stomach made things churn more and it was harder to stop the cycle. I also found that drinking coffee helped. I have no idea why that was and prior to that I never drank coffee. An older woman taught me that trick. Also, when it got really bad I received IV fluids. That sounds kind of dramatic but getting well hydrated helped reduce the nausea and vomiting as well.
Hang in there! I don't know why some of us produce more pregnancy hormone or maybe are just more bothered by it. I do want you to know that all of my babies were born healthy and even large (Maria was 9lbs 2oz).
Congrats! We are expecting a little one by summer too. This pregnancy has been going better then the last one. When I was pregnant with Cupcake I was on a liquid diet for about 40 days or so. It was rough. I know I'm commenting several months after you wrote this so I pray that by now this has passed and you are feeling a whole lot better.
