March and Fleeting Time

March has entered our home with a bang and a blast of balmy spring weather. I found myself today actually wearing capri pants and sandals! I'd be lying however if I said that I was ready for March as well as Spring.

Last night I found myself taking down the last remnants of our winter school room decor and adding what spring items I had to our nature table. I usually try to be prepared when it comes to school (by crafting ahead of time) but March really creeped up on me. Thankfully our lessons are pre-planned out for this whole month and most of next until baby comes.

Now that we're in March, my mind has flown into panic mode a bit. Baby Kleemann #3 is due in April and this month signals my last full month before their arrival. Granted there is a possibility that this little one will take their time and come in May, which is totally fine by me, but I'd rather be ready considering my other two children came 2 and 3 weeks early (at a healthy 8 pounds give or take each).

Really though I am 'ready' to meet this one when they decide to arrive. But the nesting part of my brain wants to have the baby's clothes sorted before then. I am guessing (note my sarcasm here) that with three children once the baby comes, I won't have loads of time to be sorting baby clothes then. :)

So here I am blogging, excited about the baby and March, yet also wanting a bit more time to get things in order before then. Come six weeks from now, when I am really uncomfortably pregnant, remind me I wished for extra time!

Until then,
Nicole

PS: Enjoy the two little creations I managed to sneak in below. A rainbow spring bunting and felt bunny- both courtesy of pinterest!

  1. How exciting all round! It is so wonderful waiting to meet a new babe, so precious :-) Your nature table and spring decorations look wonderful. I finally put away our summer ones last night and then realised I only have two items for autumn - better get crafting (after I finish things for our swap!), have a lovely weekend x

  2. I love your bunting and your bunny. Both beautiful crafting! Enjoy your last full month before baby comes. What is that lovely book you have featured on your nature corner with a verse about March. I would love to know. Does each page feature each month? Happy March to you!! It has been such a beautiful day here too, today.

    1. Thanks Kelly. It is a book by Elsa Beskow titled, All Around the Year. It has poems/verses for each month. It is a true treasure. I got my copy from Better World Books used for $4!

  4. What a good idea to just put a book as the background on the Nature Table. I'm not sure why I've never thought of that... Thanks!

  5. Your nature table looks beautiful! I love the red angel. Best wishes for the new arrival - nothing is sweeter than a new baby. I must admit though to being glad that my last two arrived early - my first three were all late! And it gets to be a LONG wait once you go over your due date! Take care of yourself and the little one!

    1. Thanks Jayne! I have yet to go over my official due date but I can only imagine how I will feel going later this time when my others came early. I just need to remember that baby comes when baby is ready- not Mama! My daughter asks me every morning if the baby came last night and I have to giggle. She is more impatient that I ever was!

  8. A wonderful post. I really enjoyed it!
We're entering Autumn here in Australia. The colours are quite different... However, with Easter on the horizon, bunnies and such are on my mind too ღ
I found you via Donnie's link up on~ The Magic Onions. Happy I stopped by!
PS - what is the title of the book you have pictured behind the cinnamon quills? Beautiful image.

    1. I am so happy you came by :) I love Donnie's blog. How interesting that our holidays are the same but with different seasons (since Waldorf is Euro-centric it must force you all in a different hemisphere to be more creative)! I was just thinking on how I would celebrate and decorate differently is I lived in Australia (I just did a swap with an Aussie Mama and made sure I made some Autumn goodies too)! The book is Elsa Beskow's 'Around the Year'. It has a lovely poem and story for each month. Hope to see you again :)
